Harish B. Narasappa
Harish B. Narasappa has brought his extensive experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing, private equity and compliance to the Firm's clients, in matters such as:
- A Finland and India-based wind turbine manufacturer in respect of a convertible note investment of € 120 million by a Middle East sovereign fund
- An integrated technology and operations firm, in respect of the delisting of its Indian subsidiary
- A Chennai-based investment group in respect of a US$ 90 million joint venture arrangement with a global financial consultant in connection with the purchase of a Norwegian shipping line
- A leading Bangalore-based IT and software services provider, in respect of the sale of a 50.1% stake one of the largest IT groups headquartered in Oslo and listed on the Nordic stock exchange
- A leading listed Indian pharmaceutical manufacturer, in respect of a joint venture with a South African pharmaceutical manufacturer, of more than US$ 350 million involving Indian, African, South American and European operations
- Britain's leading airport retailing company, in its 50:50 joint venture with a large retail group in India, for retailing, restaurants and catering businesses at various airports in India
- An early-stage mentoring firm focused on, and providing seed funding to, Indian entrepreneurs, on their arrangements with various portfolio companies in India and overseas
Harish's representative clients include the Sterling Infotech Group, iGATE Global Solutions, the Capital Maharaja Group, Strides Arcolab, Mentor Partners, Geodesic Techniques and the Vaishnavi Group. Prior to founding the Firm, Harish practised at Pathak & Associates' Mumbai and New Delhi offices between April 2002 and January 2005. Before that, he was working at Herbert Smith in London for more than 3 years. Harish has a B.A., LL.B (Hons.) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, (1996), a BCL from Oxford University (where he was a Radhakrishnan Scholar), (1997) and a BA (Philosophy) from the University of London (2008). He is admitted to practice law in India and England & Wales (currently not practising). Apart from practising law, Harish loves to teach and is a visiting faculty member at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
